Hello family and friends, Today's blog is simple! I am recapturing our Spring and Summer fun to share with you. We had a very busy Spring and Summer. During the Spring our kids gave up their Spring break to help volunteer with Mission U-Too rebuilding Bastrop. During that time a few of our Houston friends came out and served with us. We helped out with the Extreme Home Makeover event as well. We also enjoyed a day in San Antonio and visited the San Antonio zoo and the River Walk. During the early part of Spring we served at our Mission U-Too Kingsland's location. On one of our drives back home from Kingland we decided to stop at a winery and enjoy the scenery. That was our first time going to a winery. It was beautiful and so peaceful. During this trip we also stopped on the side of the road and took some wild flower pictures and enjoyed a walk around the outside of a cave. Later in the Spring we got to enjoy Jordan's Epilepsy walk in Houston at the Houston Zoo. Ashley then celebrated her 14th birthday with some friends at our house in May. She had a sleep over party and shopping with her girlfriends at the mall, the next day. Summer break came faster than we knew it. Because of funds we were limited on what we could do during the summer. Ashley and Jordan both received full paid scholarships to attend camp through Second Baptist. Jonah was a leader for both camps. Ashley ended up getting sick before the bus left the church parking lot, and was not able to attend. When Jonah came back from Camp he left for Mexico for his very first Mission trip. He enjoyed helping build a church and cooking burgers in Acuna Mexico. We had celebrated a few birthday parties at our house this summer, One being Austin. It was a great time to celebrate with family. During our busy schedule we kept serving through the summer in Bastrop and Smithville feeding our communities. We also enjoyed a few trips into Austin. Our friend Scott treated us to a few fun places, one being Austin Parks and Pizza and another at a restaurant on the lake. We were invited to a few swimming pool parties with great friends and two baby showers! We also spent some time in Round Rock with some friends and celebrated their son's welcome back party with them. On one of our events to Austin we stopped at a beautiful shopping center and it had a splash pad for kids, a play ground area, Anne's Ice cream and beautiful flowers. We enjoyed each others company at Anne's Ice Cream. Apparently that's one of Jordan's favorite ice cream places. Later in the summer Bastrop opened up a frozen yogurt place. Our family loves self served frozen yogurt with all the extra calories on top! Summer soon came to an end with many treasure moments. A few other things we did was a game night and played monopoly for TO MANY hours and scrabble. We also celebrated Father's Day with a great meal in honor of Jonah and playing video games! I played my first gun game. Needless to say, I'm not very good at it. School is now in session and it's time to capture more memories.Hope you enjoy these pictures as much as we did creating them. Not all pictures are displayed because there's to many. I went through and picked a few to share with everyone! Blessings and love, Christy
