The more I live for God, the more in awe I am of the power of our God. He is an amazing God that has a purpose for each and every one of us in His Kingdom. We just have to submit ourselves to Him and seek Him out with all our heart. When we do this and only when we do this we will see His Kingdom unfold before us. God has changed my heart over the years in a way I didn't ever know was possible and He has used my wife, Christy, in a big way to accomplish this. He has shown me that we must have a heart for the sick, poor, homeless, druggies, alcoholics, prostitutes, the least—for these are His children too. If we as the Church don't truly have a heartfelt love for these people, how can we ever lead them to Christ?
I have been wrestling for quite some time with this vision that I feel God has shown me for my life and how it would all play out. After eight years of running my own business and one year volunteering my time helping to grow a new church, I feel that I have found the calling for the next chapter of my life—taking on the task of establishing and running a ministry called Mission U-Too.
Mission U-Too's goal is to reach the lost, the sick, the hurting in our impoverished communities across the country, and in every town, city, and state by feeding people physically and spiritually. Through Mission U-Too we have found that by simply serving a burger in a community once a week, rain or shine, it allows us to build meaningful relationships with these people and allows us to share the Love of Jesus. As we build these relationships it allows us to see what the true needs are in the community and how we can continue to reach the lost and share the Gospel with them. Then we build relationships with local churches and non-profits so that we can continue to meet the needs of these people all in the name of Jesus. This may even lead us to starting and partnering with other ministries like shelters, prison ministries, pregnancy resource centers, outdoor services, safe houses for sex trafficking, youth groups for inner-city kids, and whatever else God places on our hearts to continue to reach these people for Jesus.
So I am asking that you consider helping support my family and I, both financially and in prayer, as we have set out to do this impossible task God has called us to. I know God is at work in a big way in what we are doing through Mission U-Too and I want to challenge you to be a part of it.
I am trusting that God will provide all we need and are so thankful for your prayers and financial support while we continue this new journey.
